Skewer treat

Hi everyone !

I recently bought some skewers and am wondering how I can make these type safer ?
They are the ones that don’t have the stoppers at the bottom. Any way I can make them extra safer for when making the treat skewer?
Thanks in advance! Don’t want to place anything that can be potentially harmful or risky

This is what I use in both my cages. Great for holding broccoli cauliflower grapes apples peppers etc.

I literally use them daily I put the broccoli at the top cause the budges love the florets then cauli then fruits underneath.
