Skitty has always loved eating my t-shirts, but in the past few weeks he's become much more cuddly (more so than usual) and has decided to make me his new nest.

As you can see from the end of the video, Skittles is no fan of spy-cams. But I at least was able to get him hiding, for once.

XD that's so sweet, reminds me of my Pazu til Skittle's angry call "No Camera's!"

Lol, that's cute Jonathan. Thanks for sharing :).

Looks like Skittles is ready to launch his acting career! Sweet video, Jonathan. Thank you for sharing.

Only down side is I'm falling behind in my housework. All he wants to do is cuddle all day long and I just think it's the cutest thing so I just sit in my chair and let him cuddle. I can't get enough of it, he's just too cute!

I was having a VERY hard time a couple days ago and Skittles has helped so much in my grieving over Peaches. He's very comforting.

I used to be anxious to put him to bed at night so I could get some peace and quiet time but lately I hate putting him to bed cause I miss the cuddling. LOL.

You can still do certain housework with him in there... vacuum, dust, put things away :).

Thank you for that it was lovely, I'm still smiling now.

@Ravens That is true. Particularly dishes. He likes to sit on the faucet and watch me wash dishes. I think he also likes the warm/hot faucet as he rests his feet on it. He will like squint his eyes like he's resting and sometimes he will tip his head and look at me with the cutest look on his face.

He just seems to do his 'hiding in shirt' thing when I am sitting, not so much standing up, most likely due to gripping.

He is so nasty towards other people ESPECIALLY if they try to come near me or enter the apartment but he is super sweet with me and I wish other people in my RL could experience that as well, but I think he is too bonded to me and I don't have people over enough to really put the effort forward.

@plumsmum I LOVE that quote on your sig. I've quoted that a few times to people before. It's such a great quote. I also like the quote from 'Shawshank' - "I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright."

Hi Skittys Daddy; thanks I liked it but, agree or disagree surely it should be honestly no birds are meant to be caged??? Love to see more of Skitty in the future he's gorgeous:orange:.

Yes, I agree. I think it's more a metaphor than an actual statement.

Personally, I only cage Skittles when I have to for his safety. This means at nighttime, if I leave the apartment or if I'm doing something he can't be involved in and it can't be done after he's in bed (at night).

Hi Skitty's Daddy yes it is but my meaning goes back further to the fact that all birds should be sitting in trees in their native countries, enjoying company of their own species, freedom of free flight, to pick a mate and breed in natural surroundings etc and not sit in cages in our homes but that would be tooo much history to undo wouldn't it? Obliviously as parronts we all try our hardest to give our fids the best possible lives in our homes and certainly that has come through loud and strong here on this forum and long may it continue. Skittles sounds like he has a great time with you and look forward to seeing more of his exploits.

I agree that wild animals belong in the wild. Not cramped in cages or showpools and used purely for 'entertainment'. (think 'Keiko') Though there are animal trainers out there who give their animals the care and space they need, but sadly not enough.

Companion parrots though, the ones we all have are 'domestic bred' and could not survive long if left in the wild or set free in the wild. I also do not believe Skittles would have a 'better' life out in the wild. There are MANY parrot owners on this forum that I truly believe give their fids more love and care than they would ever get in the wild.

that is adorable! ive tried to get my bird to hang out in my shirt but hes NOT having it. lol! ill have him on my leg and ill try lifting the bottom of my shirt over him and he'll sit still all crouched down till i make an opening at the top and once he sees his way out hes up and back on my shoulder. :P

i love his little screech too, sun conures are just too cute! XD i love him! thank you for sharing!

I tried a while back too, to get him do that and all he would do is sit below my neck and chew. This habit of his is something new and repetitive. It's weird.

He will rub the side of his face against my chest hair back and forth and make little 'sqeaks' and 'purring' noises. It is too cute.

Absolutely and me included but when it is obvious that the bird is struggling by having to suppress its own natural behaviour or that behaviour is conflicting with its current owners is not good. I most certainly believe that Plum would be some predators lunch very quickly if he ever got out as I feel he would not have enough of the instincts to keep him alive. But on the other hand that makes my job easier in keeping him indoors.

That's too cute! Lemon does the same thing. His favourite spot in the world is in my shirt. Sometimes he'll spend hours there while I watch an entire hockey game! He'll even fall asleep in there! Enjoy it:)

Sheldon loves to crawl around in our shirts. I;ve got one he's chewed a hole in and now he can fit his head through. He just thinks its the next best thing to sliced bread. it reminds me of the Alien movie.
