My Quaker usually makes a lot of noise when I turn off the lights for her to go to bed. She sleeps in a closed room, so I just turn off all the lights except for a tiny night light, rather than covering her cage.

Most nights when I put her to bed, she makes a lot of noise and runs around her cage for a bit, then calms down after a few minutes. I’m worried this setup is causing her some stress. Would it help to start covering her cage? I also have a pretty decently sized travel cage for her that I’ve been thinking about introducing as a sleep cage, which I’ve heard is good for them. My main question is about the sleep cage. I’m not sure how I would go about introducing her to that new routine.

I've been wondering about using a sleep cage for my Quaker, too, so that I can have some one on one time in the morning with my Ringneck before waking up my little guy.
