Hello!

I've had my two linnies Machu & Pichu for 10 days now.
I live in a small apartment where the cage is not far from the fridge (don't worry I don't cook, no harm to the parakeets), which sometimes makes noise for a few minutes, then stops for a while and makes noise again for a few minutes, you know how fridges go ...
Also, due to my building's crappy heating system, they're is a constant noise coming from the pipes inside the walls that goes "tac tac tac" a bit loud in my opinion and in a random frequency.

One of my linnies starts speaking and moving around at 3am everyday, almost like it's time to wake up for them. She would speak for a few minutes, then stop for almost 30 min or an hour then speak again and so on until I actually wake them up at 8:30.

I tried leaving a light on (not too bright), tried complete dark, it's the same result.

I put a cover on their cage around 8pm.

My question is: is it possible that my fridge and heating pipes noise disturb their sleep?
Do you think they can get used to it?
Now, even I can't get a proper night of sleep as they wake me up every hour....

I'm not planning on moving out soon, it's pretty complicated. :(

What do you think ?

Thanks!!
