I had a chance to snuggle with one this weekend, down in Ball-a-more.
Such a nice birdy. But the owner said that like RB , she can get stupid loud when she wants.

He was very loud when I kept his cage in a high traffic area I've moved his cage and he seems to like new arrangement better

There's someone rehoming a Patagonian on the Austin Craigslist (or at least was a couple days ago), and since it's been one of my dream birds for a long time and I never expected to see one on CL, I started asking myself "I wonder: how loud can they really be?" Good to have you guys serve as a reality check, and let me cuddle vicariously through your birdies.

That doesn't seem louder than a sun conure, but it's sure a lot shriller. It reminds me of my quaker's call if she were about three times as loud.
