I've got a note from my mum and everything!!!!
I've had such a lovely but hectic week.
It was our first Wedding Anniversary on Saturday and my parents were down from Scotland too which was awesome.
Cal (and the other pets) were so pleased to see them and of course this is the first time they met the fid! (For my stepdad, first time he'd met everyone except me and the rabbit!!! - long story!).
Cal adored having new people to show off to and although we kept birds as a child, my mum isn't really that fond generally. You should have seen her face when Cal dropped a piece of brazil nut....my mum handed it back to her and she said "thankyou". The video camera come out and that was mum entertained for the morning! Exception to the rule anyone....?
My poor husband nearly had heart failure. Not only did he meet his father in law face to face for the first time, but then they had to spend a few hours alone as we needed cash and carry and my stepdad LOVES those places lol. 3rd heart attack came when they were in the garage and my stepdad handed Dave the keys to his brand new merc and said: You drive.
I'm surprised he's still with me the shock he got haha!
I hope all of you are well!
I can't wait to catch up xx
EDIT: I forgot to add....the clocks went back an hour here on Saturday night. On Sunday at 9am Cal was screaming down the stairs. Very much....hello? Breakfast? It's 10am?? You know fine well this is when I wake up and come into the shop! You're being tardy! Today Dave went upstairs at 9am thinking maybe she'd be wanting to come down for brekkie. Sound asleep in her cozy hut! Just goes to show that birds internal alarm clocks are exceptionally well tuned!
