Spinning Around and Around

Why is my 6 year old female spinning around and around with her tail all fanned out... She is just acting so bizarre today. Is she wanting to mate or just happy for a sunny day in Michigan

QuackQuack, my amazon, does that exact behavior when he knows my husband has come home from work. My husband is his 'mate' so I think it probably does have to do with attraction and mating! I've also seen Quackers do it for one male house guest that he seemed to really like. My husband joked that that was going to be Quackers' mistress !!!

When my male YNA had his tail fanned like that I knew not to pick him up at that time or he would bite. He never did the spinning around 'tho.

I have a couple of hen YNs that do the spinning around thing. They are usually singing and displaying, they normally do it when i come home and they're happy to see me.
