Has anyone ever done this? I've been sprouting (jar) a few years with a citric acid solution. So the other day I tried using an ACV rinse instead...using a tbsp vinegar to a cup of water. I used it with every rinse. And 3 days later, no root tails. They're not ruined or bad...as a matter of fact they taste ok, but I'm not sure if they're technically sprouted instead of just soft. With the citric acid solution they would all have roots by now. I'm wondering if I used too much vinegar, or did it wrong. Anyone sprout with vinegar?

Actually I've used that wording (and many similar permutations) and have came up with less than nothing concerning vinegar..looked up the links, and while interesting and informative, neither mentions the "how-to" with vinegar rinsing/sprouting.
The reason I'm trying the vinegar route is from an article YOU posted about the possible complications with GSE. I've recently found that citric acid is non-different from GSE and it's ingredients. I used a tbsp ACV per half cup of water, and the (wheat) sprouts never developed "tails"..although became soft and palatable.

Sorry I couldn't offer you more info on sprouting, but I don't sprout, though I grow a few tomato plants every year.....I do more research than, green thumbing.....it's just too easy to buy what I want.....

My aversion to the magical effects of things like GSE is that if these things were as good as what the purveyors would have us believe, like grapefruit, a bag of 6 would be considerably more expensive than the average $2-$3 they sell for.....

I'm the same way about many supplements that are hawked on the Internet rather than through channels that would cause them closer scrutiny, but I am also very understanding of the fact that many "believers" are looking for a solution to a condition/situation they cannot find suitable answers to elsewhere.....
