Where do you get yours from? I've checked home depot, ace, and Lowe's. They only have zinc plated. The zinc plated ones that were the right size said #8 instead of the actual size. I want to be able to hang more toys on the play tree that I have for the sennies.

Home Depot-

Look for the hanging package ones like these-

This picture isn't of eye screws, but the packaging is similar and they had eye screws all sorts of sizes -I tried looking in the bins and all those ones were zinc plated

Mine just must be out of stock because the ones in packages like that are zinc. I even got an employee to ask about it.

I ordered some from Amazon.com or Mysafebirdstore.com. I don't remember which. Had them within a few days. I got tired of looking for them at the stores and finding everything but screw eyes in stainless.

They have them here at the hardware shop (bunnings). The ordinary ones are in one place and the stainless are in a different place, for marine fittings. Maybe ask whether yours has any marine fittings, or try to find a shop that stocks marine hardware.

Thanks for the reminder Bruce! I don't know why I didn't think of Amazon since I use them for most non-bird related things and I'm a Prime member. MSBS didn't have any eye screws, so I ordered them from Amazon. Hopefully I got the right size.

Strudel, a Marine shop is an excellent idea and there are a lot of them around here.

I appreciate everyone's help!

I am so glad you were able to find some! Hopefully they arrive quickly so you can get those toys hung:)

You know, the advantage of Prime, free two day shipping :)

Try a marine store like BoatUs if you can't find them a Lowe's. I always found what I needed for my boat at Lowe's. I'm sure HomeDepot may have had what I needed but Lowe's had them where I could find them. You have to mark them really good for me because I have a hard time finding cookies in the cookie aisle...if you understand what I mean. :)

stainless steel chain for bird toys

My Safe Birdstore. They are people who have birds and care about birds.
I wouldn't trust anything that might have come from China. The Home Depot label says "stainless" but the question is: stainless what? !! China cannot be trusted. I learned the hard way.

We're not talking about stainless steel chains, but you have a very good point.

Scroll down. There's eyelets, hooks, etc.

FWIW on mobile (phone, tablet) you can't scroll down. It only shows the chain. When I got home on the computer I was able to scroll down.

But either way I was able to order from Amazon so all is good. I got ones a little bigger than msbs.

Correction, just realized that's Birdsafe Store. I prefer MSBS, bit this is a good option for someone.
