Hi all

I'm just wondering if it is okay to warm food for a bird in a microwave?

For my birds breakfast, I actually but the food in a bowl, put water in it, microwave it, and let it cool down, so its kind of like an oatmeal!

It is Ok byt I cant se the reason why

Anything heated in the microwave never heats evenly so there will be hot spots in the food, it is always a good idea to mix it through & let it cool before giving it to the birds. I have seen all to often hand-rearers feed a chick formula straight from the microwave & burn a hole in the babies crop.

yup .. you can .. no problem ~~ just make sure it's not too hot ~~ ^^

same has heating food for a baby, make sure there are no hot spots!and your bird will love it :) they really like warm food
