Nico and I started potty training today, I put him on the potty perch when he acts like he needs to go (~every 10-15 minutes). He's been doing okay, only one accident so far.
He used to wear a flightsuit for most of the time he was out of his cage so he wouldn't poop everywhere, and I thought he'd be happy to not have to wear it anymore. (He didn't really hate it but he did hate being interrupted for flight liner changes).
The only problem is, he's suddenly much more aggressive. Biting, screeching, violently attacking his toys, etc. He doesn't want to be pet much either, and he usually loves that. I don't know why and I'm concerned. How can I stop this behavior? Should I give up on potty training?

Update: He seemed so unhappy and started incessantly biting (he never bites me unless I'm trimming his nails) so I gave in and put a flightsuit on him… He immediately calmed down and started chirping.

What I think this is, is that he's become used to that feeling of the flight suit on and it's become a comfort/security thing for him. Now suddenly with it off he's going "Hold up! This is different and weird!" which is putting him on edge, think how on edge you would be if you went outside and suddenly *whoosh* your clothes vanished. What may be an idea for now at least would be to get him used slowly to the idea of not wearing the suit. Maybe instead of bringing him out as you would normally do, just open the cage door and let him venture out on his own to get used to the suit being off

I agree with LordTriggs. He's probably feeling pretty exposed right now. In addition to allowing naked exploration on his own terms, I'd also continue potty training for now by putting him on the potty perch in his flight suit, and still do the big 'good boy' and reward when he goes. Eventually you can transition that to pooping without the suit.

I have to say, you should win an award of some kind. Most of us struggle to keep our birds from chewing off/panicking/dying of shame being put in a harness or flight suit. You managed to train yours to feel naked without his clothes. What's your secret lol?

right!? I'd be up for a birdy who only wants to wear their clothes when out (especially something like a flightsuit to keep poop at bay)

If Kiwi was amenable to wearing clothes, boy I'd have made him a whole wardrobe of adorable little outfits- a little sailor, a little firefighter, a little cowboy....:D However, he is a resolute nudist for life:p Even his regular harness is balked at as too much clothing.

I’ve been training him to wear one since the day I got him - I think he was 8 weeks old? I’ve had him for about four months now. I don’t even give him treats for wearing it... he knows diaper time means he gets to sit wherever he wants.
I think for now I’m going to hold off on potty training and get him to be less aggressive when not wearing it. Thanks for the advice guys!
