Hardy has suddenly stopped eating his fresh foods. It has been going on for maybe 3-4 days. He eats all of his dry food, but doesn't want to touch his fresh. He has been eating fine and none of the options have changed. He doesn't want to touch it at all.
Today his beak is flaky and so are his toenails. He is currently in a molt. Im worried his vitamins have depleted suddenly, is there anything I should do?

Every day he is offered a leafy green, something orange, red, yellow, and a small piece of fruit. He also gets rice and pastas and sprouts. He doesnt seem to want to touch any of it this week, not even that interested in the fruits. He has eaten it fine for the past 2 months, so Im definitely worried.

He is eating all of his dry food though and having normal droppings. And Ive added bird bread to his dry bowl and he will eat on that, he just doesn't seem to want the fresh stuff.

Any advice? Im a huge worry wart.

When birds molt they need a increase in calories and protein.
For calories my avain vet told me to give Rosie 3 Nutriberries per day. Protein can consist of Yogurt, cheesse or cottage cheese, well cooked eggs, chicken, salmon, water packed tuna, grains and legumes (beans/rice) nuts and of course the pellets. I would continue to offer the fresh foods in smaller portions if you are wasting too much. You might need to consider a vet visit to see if all is well. Good luck.
