Sun Conure Treats

Okay, so I just got my first bird, a Sun Conure, on Saturday. I am training him but I don't know any good training treats for him. Does anyone have any suggestions? Oh, and please keep in mind if you are going to post that he is only about half a foot tall so I am looking for the smaller ones. Thanks!

Congrats on your new baby sun. Treats are whatever he likes in small bits. peices of unsalted nuts, reg cheerios, little pieces of fruit small afew sunflower seeds just for a treat, pieces of millet spray. little bit of cooked chicken. a couple of pine nuts like you use for cooking

Yeah pretty much anything he is crazy about. I break almonds in a few pieces and use that. I keep a small jar right by his cage in easy reach. You can also try pistachio nuts. I don't give them freely to the bird, just as a reward or I put them in foragers so he can work for them. Keeps him occupied and entertained.

Almond slices are a favorite trick training treat with my sun conure. He is also crazy for dehydrated papaya pieces.
