Budgies escaped :( Getting a cockatiel!!
Hey, my male yellow green budgie is I think to be unique.
He looks abit different than a yellow green budgie. Picture: https://ibb.co/ddCF1m
His yellow abit darker, same with the green, has a blue belly and doesn’t have black stripes on his back.
I’m not sure if his unique or not. Anyone know?

One of my budgies has a very similar colour mutation. He seems like he might be along the rainbow mutation variations, but I am not an expert on colour mutation so I cannot name it. I don’t think it is necessarily that unique. Maybe rare? I recommend looking up Cute Little Birdies Aviary, they have an extensive guide on identifying colours and colour mutations.

Cute little birdies aviary doesn’t seem to work for me when I look up something on it, it says 404 not found.

Hmmm... that’s strange. Here’s a link to the main page on colour mutations. Maybe it will work?

reeb thanks! It could be the rainbow mutation because the last two photos there in the rainbow mutation link you gave me looks similar to sunny. :D

But he could not. He does have some variables that a rainbow mutated budgie doesn’t.

Hee hee - my first response on seeing the title is - of course! Every bird is unique! Then I realized you meant his coloring, so neat to see all the answers!
