Sun Conure
Hi guys, my year old Sun Conure has just decided we all need to look at his butt, and that means a really good shove-it-in-your-face look. From talking to people i've gathered it probably just means he is a she, but could there be any other unforseen cause? I had his blood taken the day before so i'll know soon enough whether it's a boy or a girl.

Also, are there any real differences between the sexes? Any problems that relate to one or the other? I've heard egg laying can become a little troublesome..

Thanks guys,

Carp.

There's not a whole lot of difference. How much you have them out interactive with makes a lot off difference

i don't have any advice for you unfortunately but i had to say i chuckled at this terminology ;) heheh.

hahaha my sun also does this :p when I put my head on the sofa she comes to me and wants to sit on my face  oh and additionally she also loves to shove her tail up my nose :11: oh well, at least it's realy fluffy...

I'm told behavioral clues are pretty unreliable.

Main thing with females as I understand it, and I don't have one, is either serial egg-laying which can cause calcium imbalance or actual egg-binding which can be fatal. So you want to avoid triggering egg-laying (unless you are breeding of course).
