I tried getting a picture of him with his head barried in my elbow with his feathers all in a mess lol he was in absolute heaven gettinf preened today.
Just be careful with body petting/stroking.....it's mating season & you don't want him getting the wrong idea...in the wild, birds preen new pin feathers for each other, but only birds interested in mating or birds that are already bonded preen each other below the shoulders.....
I agree, be careful when thinking about what "heaven" might be doing to him haha. We are our birds guardian, their protector and flock mate, but not their "mate". Petting below the shoulders is hitting on a bird, and it's a cruel thing when they have to watch us live out a life with someone else.
