Is there anything cuter than a Grey wagging it's tail? I love how Merlin sticks her butt up in the air when she wags, and her little feathers down on her butt look like old fashioned bloomer underwear, lol! She does it like 100 times a day and it always makes me laugh or smile.

Definately cute! Pepper wags her tail in the shower.

We love it when Kevin does that. My boyfriend loses it every time, then I lose my bird as he steals her. He's taken to feeding her baby food at night because she wiggles her butt after she eats. Silly bird.

I thought Rowdy was funny with her long tail zooming so fast it's a blur. Pete doesn't lift his butt when he wags so it's nowhere near as funny as when Merlin does it. Merlin is also the most waggy of the 3 of them.

My lovebird Elvis wags his tail a lot. I think that's so cute! My other lovies have all done that.

It is cute when they wag their tails.

Mishka wags his tail over and over again, when on my lap, then I know he needs the potty.

OMG!!!! I LOVE to watch Trixie and Maui tail wag, I think it's super cute and I, too, can't get enough of that cute tail waggin!!!

Maybe we can call this forum the "Tail Waggers"!! Rosie does this too but I never thought it meant anything. Let's ask them.
Seriously what do u think it means?? I bet it is just a I feel good thing for the birds.

I think it's an expression of happiness, but I've read it might be a giggle. Though we giggle when we are happy, right?

I love it when Merlin wiggles, my parents always go 'OH OH OH NO!' thinking he's gonna crap, but when it's his happy wiggle it's just so cute :)

I think it is just a sign of happiness, wether its a giggle or not it's super cute :P

Sorry to raise this thread up again but I got to see the tail wag tonight. Jasper was fighting me I thought to get on my shoulder and I wouldn't let him. Like a defeated parent I stopped fighting him for a moment and he went up to my shoulder..and on past, climbing up to the back of the computer chair. I was ok with that and reached up to give his head a scritch and he made this muttering sound and did that crazy tail wag. I swear his eyes were full of mirth.

Definately makes me think that the tail wagging is indeed a "giggle"!

I'm still just as amused by Merlin's tail wags as I've always been, lol! Pete did a pretty good one for him last night. Every time they do it, I say, "Pretty waggy!" Rowdy knows this of course being here so long, and Merlin caught on fast that I will say that.

YES Roxy------------- a lilac crowned amazon flashing her eyes raising her neck feathers spreading her tail and singing with my wife. I should video that and post it. ( I am not the least bit biased because the congo bits my hand if I put it in his cage.) D.D.

Pete fluffing up his head feathers and closing his eyes and making little cooing noises is cute, too. But, I really love that Grey tail wag, lol!
