So ok I know many of you never heard this song before. You are too young. It is from the 50's and I found the original on You tube. I have been trying to get Rosie to sing some of it but so far no go. I asked Mishka's mom if he could say it. Do you think a parrot could say Lollypop??

Probably. My birds like it, too:) They don't sing it, but I guess I haven't tried playing it over and over. I bet Merlin could learn the "pop" sound though.

No I don't remember that one playing on the radio except oldies stations but I *love* the older music. Back when I was younger, stupid and married I used to play this song for my 3 year stepson cause he loved it hee.

Good luck with that project, I'd love to see Rosie singing it, even just doing the pops.

When I played it Tico got all excited in the other room and started whistling, Jasper just stood there cocking his head. lol

I love that song! I just played it twice for Pepper and River and they both loved it too! They were both dancing, Pepper was whistling, and River was saying "dance dance dance"

Mishka loved the song, began to dance immediately and bopping his head.
Will study the song after work, and work out what wording to teach Mishka, with the word Lollypop.
A bird can learn to say almost any word. Just make sure when teaching your bird new words, keep it fun and entertaining.

Well, Spiritbird, I DO remember when that song was new! :D My birds loved it when I played it for them. Chattering away. I bet the birds like the popping sounds more than the words. Good luck, both Spiritbird & Antoinette.
