So Adrian has a HUGE vocabulary.... but she says the same things over and over again... but don't get me wrong... she switches things up and adopted an opera tone from me....

I am trying to teach her Hi Jackie boy and The song Smelly Cat. Any way to do so?

Rocky doesn't really talk too much. He says some things in a groggy voice.

Use a excited voice, be very animated. 2 Syllable words are better. Songs, same thing. Happy up beat songs, sing it with some gusto. When teaching songs , i sing part of a verse and let them finish it. Before long she'll be starting songs wanting you to finish.it. They love to sing with a partner.

HAHA she definitely does. She sings
"I love you, you love me... you love me.... you love me....." sometimes she'll sing "I love you, you love-------" and will stare at me or she'll sing "I love Rocky, you're a baby girl.... you're a baby girl..... you're a baby girl....." and like above will stop.

But these were things her previous owner taught her.

Starting to think that this is going to be a years worth of practicing lol.

LOL! Just don't give up. They 'may' pick up new things, or they may not. All depends on the individual birds. :)

Well Jackie Buck, you got 2 of the notable talkers there, just keep at it. You know each bird is different. Depends on the individual and I think that changes with time. Right now Salty is a like a sponge. Last nite, my wife said WooHoo to him ( like Homer Simpson). An Salty just said it and added to his list of regularly repeated stuff. My son did the Salacious B. Crumb , from Star Wars, laugh and the little ooooohhhh at the end, and he loves doing that to the point where we ALL do it now.

Maxie on the other hand, said only a few things, not very clear, and a few whistles. No less entertaining or lovable for it.
