Hi I'm new to the forum. I'm 50 yrs old, and have
A Boy (unsexed but lives to hump my hand!)
Named Oji means Prince in Japan. (I'm in the Gulf Shores, Alabama area) not Japan lol.
OJi is about 3 yrs old. Yellow sided crimson bellied GCC. He is beautiful. I was working and came across this boy in the Vets office. He was plucking his tail feathers from the stress of the last two tropical storms. His sellers had to board him in a warehouse for safety and he was stressed! I fell in love with him, and began going by on a regular basis leaving him a treat of sunflower seeds on the perch. After about 5months my husband decided to make arrangements to purchase him for me as a early Christmas present. I was freaking overjoyed, and since bringing him home he's never plucked another feather. I never would have purchased him for myself, but I love this little hot mess so much and I want the best for him.

Congratulations! O second that looking forward to picture. Hubby did good!

Welcome to you and Oji, thanks for joining! You've saved him for an uncertain future, his lack of plucking is a sign of relaxation and acceptance.

Glad you’re here! We’re going to need some pictures of Oji ASAP. [emoji3526]

Welcome! Nice that Oji is no longer plucking since you got him. He's definitely happier! Pics please!

Welcome to you both!
Notice: Crimson bellied isn't type of gcc, they are two different species. Yellow sided yes, a gcc mutation

Humping— our infamous humper, Tango, was a female!

Wow! Thank you for the warm welcome!!
I'm not sure how to post pics in this thread, I'm giving it a try, but if it doesn't show I'll do some research and try again lol
