We just wanted to say thank you for this wonderful site you all have done for all of our feathered friends.

Both my husband and I have been proud owners of birds for 15 years. We have 1 beautiful Cocketeil, 2 Jenday Conures, 1 Quaker and 1 Indian Ringneck. My Cocketeil has outlived 5 of our parakeets we had for 8 or more years, as well as 2 other Cocketeils. We miss all of them dearly. We love birds so much.

I grew up in a home of all kinds of birds. My sister has 2 Cockatoos, 1 Sun Conure, 1 Jenday Conure, 5 Love Birds, 3 parakeets, 1 Macaw, 1 Parrotlet. She had more that lived a good and long life and a few have passed away as well.

We do not watch too much tv because our birds are so funny and entertaining.

I also wanted to know how I would upload a picture of my birds where my name is posted. So I can have them as my avatar each time I post.

Welcome. Your household sounds like ours. I've lived with parrots since I was 15 years old. A cockatiel was my very first purchase with my very first job (work-study for a veterinarian). I've lived with birds since. At night, everyone in our household sits around and talks, eats, and plays games with a parrot on his or her arm, shoulder, or, in my lovebird's case, down a shirt. I can't imagine life without parrots. I'm glad you joined the forum and I look forward to hearing more about your animals.
