We have had a Sun Conure (Awesome little bird!) in the past and now we have a 6 week old B&G Macaw. I have read a lot of good info across this forum and have had support on our little one eating his bedding last night. Have added enzymes to his formula from Doc's office to help with the break down and have our fingers crossed and Prayers going Up! I appreciate this forum......

You can buy the same enzymes from stores like GNC, we use it often for the same issue in baby zons. We also give pedalite (baby food section) to keep them hydrated. You can also use it to dilute his formula to aid in passing food though the crop but he will need more formula ,more often if it's diluted.

The pedalite in formula is a great suggestion. Yesterday his GI started in to max overdrive and he is eating more and crop is emptying much better and is dirtying a ton of towels even before getting the regulin! The meds from the Doc's office is: Panacare powder and Regulin liquid. I have also heard of a little bit of yogurt (doc said his good bac-t counts are fine) once a week as well as a little prune juice. Do you have any other ideas for a happy healthy baby?
