Spring.
Hormones.
Shouting.
General a-hole syndrome.

I want my quiet colourful sock muppet back ;A; His hours to no end shouting is slowly really becoming unbearable :')

(I'm not really asking for help - just ranting....)

DYH Amazon
Feeling your Pain!!

Our Rooster DYH Amazon started early (mid December) and ended first of February with a few break-thoughts during February and early March.

Yes, the loud Contact Calls can be a pain! BUT, far short of 500+ grams of Hormonal Amazon, who is so flooded with Chemicals as I swear that he could turn his head fully-around, if needed. Walking past his proclaimed areas require that one has a dancing bath towel to separate /hide one's legs and feet.

The poor guy can become so overloaded that he will sit on the floor and just sway.

Remember that they have 'No Control' over the flood of chemicals that can hit them. With Amazons, stupid Humans can cause a heavy flow by teasing them, not allowing them to sleep and providing foods higher is Sugar. Think 2-3 year old Human with no sleep and filled with sugar!!

The great news is that: This To Shall Pass!!

Don't want to imagine how it is for you guys with big birds!!! I am in no way blaming him, we are doing everything in our might to curb it and make it easier for him, just the little 53 grams of mischief thinks it is okay to contact call on every move and every chirp...! I am sure it will pass, just I find it interesting how within a day or two since the weather improved so suddenly, he changed his behaviour equally so suddenly!

Or send first aid kits, I have a feeling they will need it.

Got a chuckle out of the description of 2-3 yo with too much sugar, as post-daylight-savings our 4 year old wasnโ€™t getting sleep and was constantly begging for snacks; she and our parrot were on the same dang wavelengthโ€ฆ

mmmm, this year in NY area, the mating season blues has been pretty light, especially compared to the pervious 2 years. Gods those were horrible.

Heyyy I'm from New York too! It's so true.
It's settled, I'm sending the birds to NY. They better bring me some souvenirs!
