The 30 $ perch

I bought 3 or 4 of these toys for my Amazon parrots but they destroyed them to quickly to be practical at 30 dollars a pop.

I thought they would last a bit longer with smaller beaks working on them.

The do play with them but the #1 use seams to be as a perch.

Well Wes, at least the $30 perch provides truly great variation in placement of their claws. Every step or setting place would be different...

Oh wow, what a great idea! My daughter gave my JoJo a monster hanging block thingy that was way too big! I felt bad, cuz it was $$ and it has been sitting on a shelf for two years! It will make a great perch!

But also they sell perches to small fir most burds. To relax their foot it need to be so wide only the toe tips curl around it. For your size bird probably make the ok symbol with your fingers and widen the index and thumb an inch apart, that size will support the foot the best and lets them relax. The dowl you have I would throw out, even if you have other toe perches in the cage. Even my budgie choose a perch that is sold fir cockatoo!!! They like it best! The tiny parakeets size oerches never got used I’ve thrown them out lol

Yes I know you are right. I need to put wider diameter perches in for my Tiels.

Each cage (3) has a horizontal rack that they can and do sit on.
I have put bigger perches in and tried other things but even these little guys can destroy a perch. I bought a corner platform for them and they completely destroyed it.

When I took that picture it dawned on me maybe he is trying to tell me something.
