I hope I can find somebody with experience. I am considering to buy a bird, and I have done alot of research lately. Don't worry I wont buy a bird untill I don't know which is the perfect one for me. Unfortunately I have school till 3 p.m but after that I have time till 9-10pm for my bird. So, do you guys have any ideas? I found birds like the cockatiel or the Indian ringneck.

in school isn't the right time unfortunately. Birds are darn expensive to keep. With needing specialist vets you pay a premium for them. Plus remember when you finish with education you have to work and put simply there's a lot less jobs around now meaning the old high paying jobs are far from high paying now and for a long time you'll be hard pressed to have a penny to your name

take some time and research all different parrots, even volunteer at a rescue and go from there it'll give you the chance to know if you're truly committed or just taken in by the cute youtube videos

LordTriggs is right. Volunteering would be an amazing experience for you. Parrots need at least 3 hours of your time every day and some hurt themselves if they dont get lots of attention and we dont want that to happen so please dont think we are being horrible by saying you might not be ready to get one yet. If you really want one though i would start with a little budgie if your parents will help you too. They are a Parrot and can learn to talk, do tricks and be loving and look really beautiful and arnet as much work as bigger Parrots are but you get all the fun still.

We had one when i was a young boy and we were great friends and had lots of fun together.
If you do get a bugie or need any help or info on volunteering then please let us know. Everybody is really nice and helpful here x
