Ohhh these guys are so cool !! I met a pair at a zoo once and it was a treat. Is it true they actually require meat/protein as a part of their diet?

Yes, it's very true. However, too much meat/protein will keep them hormonal, so you have to find a balance. I've only had my bird for 9 months, so I'm still figuring out how to balance his protein intake. He isn't a fan of chicken or eggs, so I have to sneak it into his chop or birdie bread.
