I'm planning on purchasing Marvin, a green-cheek Conure.
I have 5 praying mantises at the moment, they are all of the Miomantis paykullii species, aka Egyptian Mantises. I wanted to share some pictures with you guys.

LoL I would be to afraid to handle them !!!
They look so small and timid.
As long as you enjoy having them go for it.
Great day

I can't handle them yet, they're tiny and they jump. Once they're adult, then I'll be able to.

How big do Mantises become when reaching adulthood?
Reckon they eat insects or something small and crawly.
Do you catch their food or get it from a pet store?
Seen little creepy crawlies in small containers on the counters.
How many times a day are they feed, and how many?
Sorry so many question, just curious.
Sorry very ignorant with these species.
Wonderful "creepy" day LoL

Well, this species is rather small, but they reproduce like rabbits, which is why I keep them. They get about 1.5"-2" long. Some of the other species get almost 6" long! Yeah, I feed the babies D hydei fruit flies until they reach subadult, then I give them houseflies. Once this species reaches adult then I can give them small crickets gutloaded with honey. Since right now they're very small, I give them one fruit fly at breakfast, lunch and dinner. All except one have eaten their meals since lunch yesterday. I think he's getting ready to molt.

Bluetoast I doubt if they have met LoL
Just imagine what the bird would think !!!!!!! Walking yummy yummy's
Great day

well then they did lunch. i count that as a meet however brief it may have been.

Well, I don't actually have my bird-baby yet. He's like $350 and in the "Marvin Fund" there's about $90. But they will have to be kept seperate, oh I would be sad if any of my mantids got eaten alive! But good news, one of the mantis babies have started showing his adult colors, a nice green:
