Thinking About Handfeeding

So I have been thinking about getting a Greenwing Macaw and I was wondering would it really make a difference weather I handfed a bird or I bought a bird that someone else handfed ? Also I am an experienced hand feeder with many species birds.

Nope, it won't make a difference.

With one small caveat: It might make a HUGE difference. Inexperienced hand feeders often accidentally kill their birds! Baby birds are helpless, fragile things. There is a lot to know, and a simple mistake can lead to crop infections, or burned crops, or asphyxiation pneumonia...

You find out you didn't know, when the bird dies!
