Max is sitting on my shoulder, biting away on a piece of perch, the size of my first finger... He's just biting right through it...

I'm thinking, what if he missed, and bit into my ear by mistake... ????

His beak is so strong.. I've never even seen my cockatooes biting into something this hard...

Knowing my luck I would sneeze! Seriously though I think that would make me nervous as well.

Rowdy can chew through manzanita perches pretty well. I've watched Pete turn wood blocks into splinters in a matter of minutes. I won't let them on my shoulder because I worry about a bad facial bite.

It is scary to see what they can do with their beak sometimes ...
Especially if this behaviour is something you havent seen him do before...
It scares me to think he could grab your ear being so close to your face..
