Millie, SI eclectus
Hello everyone! I've had my baby Milhouse (known to all as Millie) for about a month and a half now. I have not properly introduced her or shown you guys pictures, so hold onto your butts cause she's pretty darn cute. She just turned 6 months old. She can turn around on command, shake hands and give kisses. She also said "hello!" properly, with perfect pronunciation for the first time a week ago. We're working on her being comfortable with me touching her back and wings right now.

A few minutes ago she got into a fight with a plastic bottle cap on my lap. She was flipping it around and making cute growly noises. I almost died of cute overload.

WOW, Shes Gorgeous :) is she very verbal ? I don't know much about them.

Apparently some eclectus can be as talkative as greys! She isn't yet. She's chattering along to my music right now but she mostly just makes noises, and says hello and hi. It sounds like she's practicing sometimes. I try to constantly be talking to her and telling her what's going on and what I'm doing so she might get better, she might not. Who knows. (:

Eccies are on the top 10 list for talkers. She's gorgeous!

I had just wondered if she was a quiet bird [or had a big voice of her own :)

There I posted them here for you!!! :)

How beautiful! She is so cute!

MikeyTN - thank you!

And pinkbirdy- she's fairly quiet, but so is my house. She'll chatter lower than I talk but if the tv is going shell match the volume. The only time she's loud is when she is in the bathroom with me and wants a shower too! Then she squawks a bit until she comes in. I've only heard the dreaded eclectus call once, and that's when she was half asleep and heard the dog play with a very loud squeaky toy. But she only did it once.

Maui talks up at storm - all day.

Girls

Super clear. He started at 6 mos ... She sounds like she will be a talker too.

She is beautiful.

Congratulations! She's gorgeous!

My new Ziggy is quite the chatterbox. He has a large vocabulary and makes lots of pops, whistles, noises, etc. Ekkies are so much fun, aren't they?

In the process of getting my million birds. I always thought I was going to get an Eclectus . But I had heard they don't do well in a hectic household.Shes beautiful ,[I shouldn't believe everything I read on the internet] I bet I missed out.

My house is very hectic. I have 4 girls too fight with each other,4 rescue dogs. My eckies don't mind. They have their own territory too run to if they get overwhelmed. But it rarely happens. My eckies join in the chaos. They however are much quieter than my daughters. Or dogs.
