bugger birds mom

Oh he**, I was cleaning cages this a.m., when the lovebird escaped from her food bowl hole, she has never done this before, but they always do something unexpected don't they. Well as I was putting her back in her cage, she startled and flew to the Timneh cage, right where he was perching, faster than your eye can blink he grabbed the Lovebirds leg, we shooed him off immediately and the parrot let go, but not before he broke the skin on Lovebirds leg. We used an antibiotic cream on the wound, got her back in her cage, covered it up to reduce further stress. Now what do I do, I feel like such a crummy bird mom! There is no avian vet within 2+ hours from here, and she is not open on Sundays, and I am worried that the trip there would stress her out further. She is sitting on her perch, but not using her long toe to hold on. Any advice would be appreciated, Thanks.
