So I got up relatively early today and wanted to use up some leftover stuff I had in the fridge, so instead of defrosting some birdie bread last night, I cooked a little comfort food breakfast.
Last portions to the 'zons pair and conures.
Half a golden acorn squash with seeds, cooked in the microwave for about 6 minutes.
Orange and Red peppers with seeds
A few shakes of cinnamon
A small handful of mixed nuts
White millet
Flax seed
And a little bit of coconut oil
Side of sweetcorn.
Served warm.
I cut some of the sweetcorn off of the cob for the conures and left the amazons with the rest. Sunday is sometimes "Seed-day" around here especially during the winter when it's cold, plus I'll use any excuse to spoil them a bit! They'll have some more nutritious food later and I've still got two acorn squashes to use up!
