Toys bleeding color

When I washed Pat's cage today, I also washed some of the toys. All of the wood ones that were colored bled. Is that normal? I'm hoping that means that they were colored with bird safe stuff.

Most bird toys today are colored with food coloring and it is not always colorsafe & they often bleed.....

You can recolor toys using food coloring and/or some people use Kool-aid (without sugar).....read up on coloring pet toys....
