Travel cage for Mango my green cheek conure

Hi, I was thinking of getting a small cage for my green cheek to travel to the vet and 2 weeks camping a year. I have spent a great deal on a large cage to live in so don't really want to put a lot expense into a travel cage. I am thinking of purchasing a Prevue Pets White Arched Top Companion Bird Cage. It is 24" H x 12" D x 17.5" W, Will this be okay for a travel cage?

I think that is a great travel cage. I am investing in one of those Pak o Bird travel backpacks/cages which a lot of people are posting about. But definitely for temporary travel housing, that's an excellent cage! Not sure if your GCC is an escape artist like mine, but I have a travel cage similar to that and she can easily open the flimsy doors. I ordered small stainless steel clips (and placed them with the opening part toward the outside so it doesn't get caught in her beak if she mouths it).

We use a pak-o-bird for our quaker. It works real nice and is easy to carry, secure in the car or airplane, or for my wife to even wear as a back pack.
