So for a long time I've been thinking what harness to get my baby, I went with the aviator...... OMG best thing I've ever brought for him (and me) its so easy to fit and very well made if anyone is thinking of what harness to get I would defo recommend this one.. Pics are of Turk over the park in this nice warm British weather I will upload more soon. And I don't know y the picture is upside down sorry.

So cute! I've been trying to decide what harness to get Lukah.. This definitely helped my decision! How did you get turk used to the harness?

I'm quite lucky Turk is quit happy with new and strange things if anything he thrives off it... If you get the harness you get a info DVD that's really good.... One tip I do have is if ur going to get one start playing with your birds wings and beak (if you already can't) and when you stroke him get him use to things going over the eyes so he don't get freaked out when the harness goes on...sorry if your birds a girl I always say him because all mine are boys.

We bought an aviator harness. It's been two weeks of us training to lift his wings up and leaving it near his cage. Our guy is getting use to my hands going over his head with his eyes closed. We wear it around our neck and let him play with it a little.

How long did it take you to get your guy use to it before you put it on for the first time? We have not attempted to put ours on yet. We bought a flight suit and my wife rushed it and put it on him first thing. He is now scared to death of it, so we do not want to make the same mistake twice. :-p

Turk was very quick about a week we was very lucky because before we even got it he lets us pull him about lift his wings. We let him investigate it for a few days then after that just rested it on his neck the he was fine with it ... But don't forget it's different for every bird. Keep me updated with your progress.

Honestly, I might have screwed it up today.

He just does not like to be in it. I put it on and he was extremely scared. I don't know why he is scared of flight harness or a flight suit. I did everything the darn DVD said, but whatever. :-/

I guess this bird will only be flighted when he is out in an Avery some day.

I'm going to go with the aviator. I've been lucky up to now with my birds (cockatiels) being very easy going about new things (although never tried a harness on them!). I will be getting my GCC in a couple of months (hatched yesterday- YAY! :D) and will start with the harness training as soon as he comes home. I may even speak to the breeder about getting the birds used to wing and beak handling for me....

Lukah is horrible with wing handling, but we are getting there. He lets me touch his wings right now no problem but as soon as I start grabbing them he makes angry noises! But he used to hate having his feet touched and now doesn't care and I can even put my hand around his back and he doesn't bite or anything so maybe we will get there!

He's never really minded if I put my hand over his eyes.
