"Capo"
Hello from Ohio. "Capo" our baby 2 is fantastic. Harness trained with Aviator, peek a boo champ. Very docile, active and stays busy and is learning that he is a 'bird". I can say that 'reading, reading and reading more" was the key for us as new owners. Step up training has and is going well. Seems to adapt very quickly to new things. Welcome any chats with Too owners
Best to all,

Welcome to the forum. Glad you did your research and that your hard work with Capo is paying off! My dad has had his goffin cockatoo (a little smaller than a U2) for almost 40 years. Great birds for the right type of people:) Just keep researching and reading as Capo matures over the next few years, keep up the hard work and you'll have a companion for life.

Hello there, welcome to the forum, I think you'll enjoy your stay.
Congratulations on the beginning of an amazing journey. Chat away. Tell us about Capo. How old is your baby boy? We would love to see photos.

It sounds like Capo is already training you well.

Took to his sleeping cage and free stand well. Working on pics now. Off to vet in am for health check. Capo hatched on 02/06/2014. Yes, I do hope the work on research and letting him be a 'bird" will carry over into adulthood. We give him close interaction about 1-1.5 hours daily. However, shower time and just hanging out in his play cage and tree stand with toys and foraging stuff keeps him quite busy ; ))

Welcome Dr. Cyclops :) Great that you've done research and have realistic expectations of your Too. I think you'll do well!

 Capo's Home
His play cage and tree stand. He is far away enough from the door to prevent, "you know what".

We chose to have a separate sleeping cage for Capo to insure quality quiet time and darkness. The same soft looped music is played at bedtime so he can learn that association.

Oops... forgot to attach the JPEG of Capo's sleeping cage.
