Update on Martys foot

Hi everyone,

I wanted to give an update on Marty seeing as everyone was so helpful here.

The vet couldn't find any break or damage to martys foot, he said it was likely a sprain and in some rare cases birds just favor one leg over another. His advice was to just take care of him and not have him putting weight on it where possible so for the last few weeks marty has been sleeping on blankets in our blanket basket (his choice not ours haha, he found the place one time and fell in love)

Since then he's great, he's back to walking on both feet and here he is holding a seed bar with the original sore foot

Sounds like your Vet nailed what caused the short-term issue with the foot. Parrots, like Humans will from time to time, mis-step or land hard and the results can be what you saw.
