Just thought I'd give a little update on Rowdy even though I've already put all these pics in my album.

Since the "im gonna play chase me around the room until i've taken advantage of you and you break down and want to give up" incident he and I have been pretty good.

He has let me pet his chest with two fingers through the bars and he's been letting me put my finger on his foot and rub it around

A member (capsteve) and his wife have offered to stop by on their drive to the Keys to give me some hands-on help. All i gotta do is convince my dad to let them stop by and give me help

Alos, my parents aren't big on the idea but if i ask enough i know they'll say yes. My backyard neighbors (We share a back fence on our backyards) Own a bird. We didn't know what kind of bird for the longest time. They keep him in a huge cage on their patio area that they always leave open into their house (but close the door to the yard when he's out). He would always make these loud screaming noises when his owners went inside and as soon as I got Rowdy i recognized the screams. My neighbors have a macaw, and not just that, A BLUE AND GOLD MACAW (i saw him/her sitting on top of his cage when i took my dog out to the yard. I was wanting to write them a little note explaining my situation and how he's been cage bound for 24 years ect and asking them if they'd be willing to work with me and Rowdy. My parents aren't big on the idea because in all the 13 years we've shared a fence with them, we've almost never spoken.

The thing is though, my mom can't make me get rid of him because he's not getting better if she doesn't let me ask someone for help with him. So, if they say yes I can ask, then ill write/type the letter and put in in their mailbox.

Keep you all updated on Rowdy and our journey on helping him learn to love in his new forever home.:blue1::blue1::blue1:

Also, Let your parents know that I can show them how to fix some of the issues they have with rowdy. (lunging etc...)

Alright will do steve, gonna have my dad call you tonight or tomorrow
