I thought I told you, I'm not going to wear a harness, and now this!?

Early Bird is a very petite GCC, she just hit 60 grams this week. I bought an Aviator, which she HATED. she would play with it, throw it around, have all kinds of fun with it. Wear it?! I don't think so. Her aviator was loose and too long, due too her small stature.

Taking matters into my own hands I decided to try my luck at a baby sock vest. She's not happy, however, she's not thrashing around like an anaconda has a hold of her. So we'll see if she will tolerate it. If so, I will improve on the design.

That's cute! Unique too Cheryl. It's interesting that Early Bird hated the Aviator, yet tolerates the sock vest! She probably knows it looks better . You really never know until you try it. I once had a bird who didn't tolerate touching with hands, but amazingly would wear a harness! 60 grams, wow she is a petite little thing .

I think the funniest part is the Aviator cost me $41, haha. Baby socks...practically free. I have 7 grandchildren

Sounds like shes the same size as Tiki. Shes a steady 60 grams which her vet says is her perfect weight. Tiki hated her harness. She laid on her back screaming in the grass. So that went back to the store immediately. I keep trying to think of alternatives to a harness, this is a good idea.
