I had just gotten home and Rosie was very very excited and dancing with a big flared tail as she peeps, this video is immediately following that where she is dancing less enthusiastically but the same peeping lol

I have never met a cockatoo as quite as her, that peeping is the only loud noise she makes. The other noise is purring and sometimes a little kiss noise in the car.

Copperarabian...I can tell,,you definitely need an Umbrella Cockatoo, just to make your life complete!

Or an M2, at least then you would stay with the pink theam :) Super cute video, i enjoyed it.

Mare and Molcan are both wrong! You need a Goffin's!! You'd still stay in the pink range (as Molcan suggested) and perhaps it's just my Goffin, but Sugar isn't anywhere nearly as loud as any of the other cockatoos I've ever known. I think my Loki has a more annoying scream, hers is just deeper and more resounding, not necessarily "louder".

And they're very very sweet! ;)

haha I love how all 3 of you think I should stay with pink birds XD

From what I've seen of Goffins they are pretty sweet little birds, although I if I get another cockatoo I'll probably go with a Galah. I would love to have a male that was just weened. I like males because I don't have to worry about eggs and all the problems that come with them XD I wouldn't put another cockatoo completely out of the picture though, if for some reason I have one thrown into my life it's just meant to be lol

Here's another video of Rosie, I'm training her :)

She is GORGEOUS. I'm so jealous :P And I'm really jealous because you say she's so quiet! Lol.

Can I ask a question? Maybe I can't hear you properly or am missing something, but when you point at her and say the command that sounds like "Bondai" what are you telling her to do? Lol.

awww thankyou :) She is super quite lol the onyl thing she does is peep(expecially if I leave the room) and she only screeches if she is hurt, like the time I accidentally plucked a chest feather or if she's very scared. When I first brought her home she was in a crate and screeched anytime one of my nieces looked at her :(

Yup, I'm saying Bondai and she is supposed to be nodding. Bondai the galah from Birdtricks.com nods so I named it after her lol

OH my gosh. I thought for literally just two seconds "Maybe she's saying that because of Bondai from birdtricks..?" But I figured that was a long shot. Lmao!

thank you for the videos that is the first time I have seen clicker training with a bird. looks relativley self explanatory. what do you give her for a treat? Alison and sweetie pie:D

Thanks! I made a few mistakes in the video but it was a pretty good example. The main mistake was when I asked her to dance, that was more relaxed and playing but not a good example and clicker training.

I use walnuts that I've sliced into bite sized pieces. Nuts are much healthier then seeds and she only gets them during training so it's a special treat :)

Great video and I learned a lot from it with your training techniques.
I replayed it for Cameo so she could learn something from it.LOL
I love this forum and all the correspondence from your experiences and knowlege. I really appreciate it a lot
