Mango - Poicephalus Jardine
Well Mango is still not tamed and can't be out of the cage.
However, I notcied now that he was nodding his head (partially, he's not good at it) when he saw me working on my laptop, and his caged sitted right next to me on the couch, on the balcony between all these trees.
I wonder if I can play him a certain video that he'll enjoy, I really want him to enjoy his day.
Give me please some suggestions, because playing him different type of music didn't entertain him. Not Tango nor classic nor pop...
Thank you !

My Rudy likes country music, I haven't tried anything else. His foster parents had told me that's what they played around him.

I always leave the TV on for him when I leave, usually on the Nashville music channel. If there is a show on Animal Planet that involves birds or fish or insects (anything colorful) I will leave that on instead, but as I'm not home I have no idea if he actually likes those.

How should I know if he liked it? He acted the same to everything I play, just listening, no other expressions, and that confuses me. Maybe he doesn't like music at all?
I'll try parrot videos on YouTube, if I found some.

I can tell Rudy likes it because he cocks his head and listens to the music. He seems relaxed and not agitated or begging to be let out. He seems to nap better when it's playing.

WOOT!
Glanced over at him and Rudy just figured out what the water bottle is for! Soon I won't have to worry about changing his water bowl out several times a day (he's so messy!).

Mine likes anything with water sound effects. She literally skips around.

Both my girls seem to enjoy watching videos of other birds that are the same species as them.

I wouldn't have imagined this, but Frankie loves the Andy Griffith show. I've played some animal planet videos for her, and she actually seems somewhat afraid of the wild animal sounds, so I play kids shows during the day.

Tomorrow I will try all the suggestions above! I hope thag will help me getting him out the cage later easily
and btw, how do you upload a picture into a comment, without passing through a link?

Use the attachment button on the toolbar when you're writing a reply. It's the paperclip icon. It's not on the quickreply screen though. You have to click the post reply button first.

Oh thank you!
Btw, I see an Xbox controller in the image you posted. Ever tried to make her play video games?

That's my old PS2. I have it connected to that monitor to watch DVDs on sometimes. I haven't tried her with a console game, but she does like to watch computer games though. She tends to run down my arm and try to click buttons on the mouse. She's tried to tap a few buttons on the keyboard (and chew the keys too), but I have to distract her so she doesn't break anything. She does try to lick the screen or tap it with her beak like she's knocking. It's pretty funny. I really need to set up a camera and try to catch more of what she does. When I hold the camera myself she gets camera shy and clams up.

Oh hahah, mine is also really shy, especially when if comes to me and him whistling together. When I'm at the same room, he doesn't do it.
