...is just so much more fun when the Blackhawks are playing, and they score a lot.

Blackhawks Blues last night. They got three of their four goals in fairly rapid succession. Not only do we get Tusk yelling GOAL! when the horn sounds, but we get the poofy bird dance when the Blackhawks play their goal song...

Do-Doodle-Doodle-Doodle-Do-Doodle-Doodle-Doodle-Do....

One of these days, if we get Hawks games on a regular basis, he's gonna sing the song too! Then I'll have to video tape that, and send it in to the Blackhawks! Might actually make a great commercial...

Tusk sounds like a real character! Does he still learn new words and sounds (and team songs;)) at this age?

Every day. They never stop learning, unless they are allowed to become festering perch potatoes... and plucking disorders usually follow if you let them deteriorate into that!

CAGS are very independent, and need to study things... they seem to have an innate need to keep learning.

I think the next time the hawks are on, and hopefully they'll be playing a team they can KILL... I'll tape the game, and just have a high scoring period on playback for Tusk.

He likes watching Hockey, and he LOVES the drama of goal scoring. Play that back for him once a night, and I bet he does it in time for the playoffs!

Kiwi only says a few random words and hasn't picked up anything new since we've had him (we don't really encourage speech though). He certainly isn't a 'festering perch potato' either;) He's very curious and active, especially with puzzle toys, just doesn't speak. That's why I was wondering since Tusk is an adult bird if he still learns new words.

Tusk is a CAG though.

Amazons do continue to pick stuff up, but they don't always share it with you.
