Nigel is now four months old! He eats like a champ, tries just about everything, surprised me yesterday when he ate carrots like they were French fries. His feather condition is getting better daily (he was in rough condition when he came home but he's over that now). Unfortunately I'm dealing with a bad wing clip that I didn't want him to have but we will navigate through it. He's out of his cage at least 6 hours a day but usually 8-10 hours. He loves to play, train, eat, and of course... Sleep. He still takes baby naps, so cute. His favorite thing to do? Play on the wooden clothes drying rack! Love this little Nigel...

Great progress with Nigel! Thanks for the update! Sweet photo!

Love trying to get a shot of them with their eyes closed.

What a great update! Nigel is beautiful and seems to be settling in very nicely!!

Aww, nappie time for Nigel. They are so cute when they nap. Caught Salty napping yesterday afternoon. Doesn't long with him, he is so active. So what's Nigel learning this week?

This week I'm working on turning around, slowly moving towards rollover. He's almost mastered the handshake (or is it claw shake?). What's Salty got in the works?

Great! LOL, we will have the honor students in parrot university.
New for Salty is throwing a small wiffle ball back to me. And of course he is working hard with the colored ring trick. He'll do it pretty well some nites, and then like last nite just ignore the colors, and just racing to get the rings on to ANY post, regardless of the color, just to get his treat. Like a feeding frenzy at the shark tank, the little stinker. He was even taking rings off the posts and putting them back on immediately, figuring that would be good enough to fool Dad. Not happening, Chicken Boy. Also I got a little pirate hat for him ( I know, maybe a bit too far), from the folks who make the flight suits. That has not gone well, he kinda hates it, because it slips back onto his neck. That and the aviator harness will be the toughest for him to get.

Awesome Salty! Nigel is coming up on his freshman year, he will graduate a bit behind Salty!

PS of course Nigel is an exceptional bird. He is feeling his oats these days and starting to chatter. This evenings chatter had a clear "hello" the youngest any of my greys have ever spoken. It was clear and he chattered away murmuring all kinds of things. We talk to Nigel all day long...what a good grey he is! On another note, he did manage to throw all his toys and food everywhere in his "I'm tired and want to sleep" nightly tantrum. Nigel! He's got spunk!
