Hello! I have a 7-8 month old Sun Conure named Phoebe.
I always bring her out of the cage every morning for a few hours. I'll get her out again after a couple hours. The problem is that every time I go to get her out again, she has this super high energy, kinda crazy behavior to her. She normally yells when I come in the room, but these screams sound different, and I don't know what they mean.
That's not the only thing about her behavior that's weird. She runs back and forth while holding her wings out a bit before stepping onto my finger. She hangs her beak open slightly and stands lower while I have her out. She flinches hard at mostly everything, even things she's not scared of. She's constantly bobbing up and down pretty hard, all while still holding her wings oddly.
I don't think it's hormonal, but it could be maybe? The lighting isn't the best in that room due to all the gray weather. She's never crazy like this in the mornings.
This just happened again, so I brough her to my desk to try to engage her so I could try to calm her down, but I also took a Video.
I have a vet appointment scheduled for next Tuesday already since she hasn't had her first check up since I got her. I'll address my concerns to the vet as well.
I will greatly appreciate any advice, insight, or anything else you have to say!
