I just brought home a new baby parakeet male. He will be so loved. He has all of his baby head stripes so probably less than 4 months old. He's a sweet little one. I can tell he's going to be smart. While observing him he watches me and isnt easily scared. He's already stepped up on the flat of my hand too and has let me hold him as I was introducing him to his temporary cage. He was nervous but not too scared or paniced.

Our other parakeet Tia isn't too thrilled yet. We had 5 parakerts but over the last few years or so each of my boys grew old and passed. Tia is 4 years old. I'm so hoping she'll accept the new company. I hope they'll bond okay. They wont go in the same cage right away but she can see him. At the moment shes flying around the room at the sight of the addition acting a little scared. Silly girl. I have Tia fairly well trained so she has her freedom to fly during the day in one room.

As for a name for this new little one, were not quite settled on it. He is a light baby blue color and I think he's going to be a sweet one so might name him Baby. Still thinking on it. Anyone want to share a name suggestion just to ponder other good names?

Your budgies are so adorable. I just love budgies so much. Love watching them and their interactions with eachother. Especially the English budiges of which I have 2 males.
Your new fella is power blue. How about the name Talc? Looing forward to more photos from you.

Aww I had a budgie that looked like that <3 I named him Sea Mist and he was a spicy little lad. It looks like he's in good hands !

Slow training but doing fine. The new little one doesn't like people yet but has been stepping up on my hand and my son's hand when he gets on the floor. Until he's trained, his wings will stay clipped.

And he has the perfect name now. This morning I saw him being goofy and playing with the cage handle so we decided to name him... Figit. Lol. Seems to suit him.
