...We just got back.. I had an appointment with a hand specialist at 1pm.
and the kids had a 2pm appointment time.
The "you're number one" finger on my left hand is locking up ( I am also left handed) I get up after sleeping only to fing my finger is bent over, where the tip is just about touching the palm. I have to "concentrate" and will it to extend..there is no "fluid" movement to it..it just pops up and extend. A few says ago, I hand to grab it with my right hand and force it to pop and extend..it hurt like hatais..

Anyway I went to an urgent care facility Saturday and has x-rays taken ( prolly going to need surgery) an had an appointment today to see what my options are..I ended up cancelling MY appointment to be sure the kids got seen today lol..they are more important to ME,than I am to myself  :D :p

Soooo..both were in separate carriers,in the back seat, facing each other.
LOL...this is the first time I EVER heard Amy say..." HI BB...how are you???" I almost spit my coffee as I drove lol She did a lot of 'zon gibberish while Beebs chirped, and sang, and TALKED " BB a good boy!..BB a good boy??" They really like their ride.

The doc looked at Amy first..She said her heart and lungs sound excellent..dhe weighed in at 486 g's,same as last check-up. BUT she noticed a slight "growth" over one of her noses  I cannot think on how she might have hurt herself. The only thing that comes to mind,is the night she made the attempt to fly from her mansion,to BB's condo..she may have smacked herself in her face..the only thing I saw was her climbing down to the floor. She trimmed Amys' tootsies and gave her short sleeves on her arms. She still had remnants of a clip from ALLPETS ( the doc did say they did a horrible job, trimming too short.. I wont go back there again for grooming)
She even brought up me asking about training Amy for free flight the last time we were there. I asked about her heart and lungs being capable of handling the stress of learning. The doc did say that if we did do a "test" there now,she would still be panting and breathing harder coz she is "out of shape" now,and the stress of the exam would make it hard to determine if she was well enough. She told me to start slowly ( the hand-drop a couple feet to make her wave her arms some) To do it just for a few minutes a couple times a day to start with...then with the next wellness check, she would be more capable of giving a better diagnosis.
So she gave the thumbs up to begin a light exercise program, keeping it up til the next exam.

As far as BB...she said he was in fantastic shape. He has very good muscle tone over his keel,,STILL has a couple pieces of baby clothes on . She didn't shorten his sleeves, but did his tootsies.

AND he made her laugh lol..after she was done with the trimming,he immediately ran up her arm to her shoulder, and yelled in her ear " BB a good boy??...BB a good boy??".

I'm just concerned now with Amy's noses

Hmmm, for you - likely too many years driving! From the tips of the fingers to the shoulders, long haul driving wears at the joints, tendons, and muscles. Your going to get Physical Therapy before surgery, just the way things are now a days. Complete a Web Search for the exercises for locking fingers and start working them into your lift style! FYI: Stay away from the Bars, no need to get miss-understood is there? :D

What did the AV say about Amy's bump?

Let see here, me or the Parrot? Sounds like my household, too!

My brother, a left-handed professional guitarist, used to have similar issues with his left hand... had therapy and makes some adaptations, I believe, and no more as far as I know.
Yeah, what did the vet say about this nose?

Sounds like a good check up all around. If the vet was not worried about the nose bump (and it sounded like he wasn't) I would just keep a close eye on it.

I have a nose and toes appointment for Bingo my YNA. He has a flat spot on his upper beak that I am mildly concerned about. He is just too darned fast for me to towel and it's too painful when I miss.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
It sounds like the slight "growth" is from an impact or rub rather than some sort of internal growth? Hopefully it will quickly absorb and be back to normal.

Make sure you reschedule YOUR appointment for the hand! You have to be healthy to take care of your fids!! BTW, I am also left-handed, so as they say we are in our right minds! :D

Steven... ( Boats)...Ms. Gail..Wes....Scott..

The hand thing happened all of a sudden..went to bed and it was fine..woke up and the finger was bent to where the tip was touching the palm. I looked at it and had to mentally tell it to extend. It went "pop" and extended, but not with a fluid motion. It went from being down to all of a sudden fully extended. Then I could only make it retract half way,and when I "mentally" told it to go down,it did with a "pop" and locked in place. It did this for a couple days then got to the point where it wouldn't extend unless I grabbed it with my other hand and forced it up..and still would only retract half way and hurt like hell. I now put a splint on it before going to bed to make sure it stays extended.
Friday afternoon I have an appointment now with the hand specialist, who will look at the x-rays taken Saturday and tell me whats up.
My primary care doc gave me a shot of cortisone Friday and its helped a little...not as painful and there is a slight change for the better on dexterity.

As far as Amy goes..the doc said its not showing any signs of fluid coming from it and its not discolored, and doesn't seem to be painful to my baby. SHE said if it doesn't look like it is going away in a couple weeks,to bring Amy back in,and SHE will take a small tissue sample and have it examined.

Amy is acting fine, eating well and drinking..talking and harassing fluff boy . I AM watching her closely! Like I mentioned before, the only thing I can think of,is she whacked her noodle the time she flew to Beebs house..That'll teach her not to trespass!
It IS not funny though :(..I am very nervous and concerned..The only other time she had an emergency medical problem was years ago, when Smokes took a nice chomp of her tongue :52:
