I use quick links in the cage but obviously, that won't work on the gym which is thicker wooden bars.

I used to use zip ties which worked like a charm...until Percy decided he loooves them and he has now started chewing off each toy attached with zip ties!

So, what can I use now? Help! ;)

Have you thought about drilling through the perches??? You can put those eye hooks into the perches and hook stuffs off of them.

Hmmmm....good idea, Mikey! My drilling skills are however...shall we say...still developing? Drilling straight holes is, for now, still beyond me LOL!!

But, I will give it a shot. :)

Haha meh, who needs straight holes anyway? =p

I use plastic shower curtain rings. Even in the outdoor cage, since they don't rust.

If the wood isn't too hard you don't even need a drill for them you can screw them directly in. Lol I was trying to word this so it wouldn't sound perverse haha :D

I use plastic shower curtain rings and, if I can get them, 2" stainless steel rings.

I use the links made for babies, they hold up for awhile until my fid decides to chew through them. They also make nice foot toys on their own.

I also use metal rings that pull open and click closed - they come in a variety of diameters, and can be purchased at office supply stores. Here's a link showing what they look like:

If it's a perch where the ring could slip off, then attach a steel screw eye ring. You can use a hammer and nail to start the hole, then screw in the eye ring.

I've come to LOVE sisal rope. :) It's safe, comes in all sorts of thicknesses, and it's easy to work with.

My guys (big macs) have learned to remove the SS eye screws by chewing the wood around them until the literally just fall out, toys and all. :52:

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! My concern with rings or child links is that they won't keep the toy stationary and the way Percy attacks his toys, he may get himself totally strung up in two or more if they are not firmly attached to one spot LOL!

Betrisher, I've also recently warmed up to sisal - especially the thicker types! But I have a huge roll of quite thin sisal that I think will work very well.
