The past few days I've been getting up and going to doctors appointments/ work with my boyfriend, since I'm working on their website, and for training I was doing work in the shop rather than from home.
Well I didn't have anywhere to go today, so I stayed in and tried to sleep late.. Nope!
Once the birds realized I was home and hadn't left with Brad this morning there was NO way I was sleeping in!!
So I dragged myself out of bed, made us all breakfast, left their cage door open and put some almond slices on their play stand and retreated back to my bed to try and sneak a couple hours of shut-eye in.. (Since I'm a lazy teenager and that's what we do..)

And guess who came to make sure that DIDN'T happen?! That's right! None other than Kiwi and Loki themselves..
Kiwi also took it upon herself to make a "nest" in my baggy pajamas.. just to make sure Momma wasn't going anywhere.
"Hmm, this seems comfy."

"Yes! This will do nicely!"

(Insert Kiwi rolling around like a lunatic, covering herself with the excess cloth of my pajamas.)

Loki just watched her the whole time like she'd lost her darn mind! It was quite hilarious. :p

So cute! They were going to make good and sure you didn't get any sleep!

When my gcc realizes that i am still sleeping in my bed they make soft purr noises.
Granted when i don't move to sit up it gets somewhat louder,at that i just give them breakfast and then they leave me alone.
Of course i can't go back to sleep after that,i just can't sleep over 8:00 am.
No matter how late i go to bed, they take sooo advantage of that.

hey you're home, why aren't you playing with us?? huh, huh, huh....

That's pretty much what they were saying.
I was tempted to sleep through their shenanigans, but Kiwi has a thing for toes and Loki tends to chew on clothes.. so I'd wake up with stumpy feet and holes in my pajamas! Hah.

Every time they get into mischief or anything(Kiwi's favourite is to get on top of the ceiling fan and chew the paint..) I just sit there, so defeated, like "I made you guys an awesome playstand, it even has TREATS on it, and you want to eat paint..???"

Oh well. I can't complain. I love having them around, and life would be pretty boring if they didn't get into trouble every now and again, eh? Heh. :D

Aww, that's so cute! Bandit will sit on my chest and wait for me to wake up and play with her. She never lets me sleep in.

LOL!!! I love how he's burrowing in there, looking for a comfy spot to sleep in!

Cute pics, Ashley! It's funny how you can tell the difference in their personalities from the pics, too. Kiwi diving in headfirst, while Loki sits back and just observes her antics! Lol!

You're totally right Stephen, Loki likes to observe while Kiwi takes action.. Lol.
I'm typing this with one hand since Kiwi flew over and claimed my other one... Guess she's in the mood to cuddle/nap now!!

Aww so cute! I can tell they love you! :) I don't work 8-5 and stay at home often. So my green cheek is completely spoiled by this. He likes to sit in my hair or on blanket (like yours) when I nap and otherwise would just sit on my shoulder all the time. :) But he would never make any noise in the morning until I get up. He knows it wouldn't work. LOL

Haha! Loving these pics! She's so TINY! Guess it's because I'm so used to Bixby, now. Lol!

Talking about sleeping in, my first parrot, Suzie, used to take pains NOT to wake me whenever I slept in. He (gender confusion, I know!) was the most considerate bird. He would just perch there and stare at my face until I opened my eyes, at which point he'd immediately say, "Hello! " and start his happy dance!

And this wasn't a trained behavior, either. Just something he did every time.

That sounds awesome hah. Unfortunately mine are rather inconsiderate compared to Suzie!
And she IS tiny- I don't know if white-eared conures are smaller than GCCs normally, but shes smaller than any other GCC i've seen!

Wahahaha Frootie burrows into me and lets me sleep in...until she gets the munchies decides she needs food NOW chomp chomp nibble nibble
