My husband and i recently adopted a yellow sided conure named pepper. Pepper is 2 , and we are now her 2nd home in a month
. As a precaution we went and visited pepper in her other home twice before bringing her home to make sure she was the one for us.
My husband bonded with pepper right away, and pepper loved him (cuddles, scratches and being able to turn pepper over without incident). On Feb 14th we brought her home. Now me on the other hand, Pepper wanted nothing to do with me. Over the weekend Pepper has bonded with me, I am able to pick pepper up have cuddles and everything else. As of yesterday Pepper now wants NOTHING to do with my husband. Anytime he comes over to Pepper she tries to bite him.
The even stranger thing is sometimes she will come to my husband but then when he thinks everything is ok when pepper is on him, she will attack him.
My husband and I, are very confused as to why pepper is acting this way. How can a sweet little bird that once loved him, hate him so much now?
If i could get a response or some tips, my husband and i would surely appreciate it
