What to feed my bird

I got my Monty (blue Quaker) from a home and im pretty sure he wasnt getting a very balanced diet> ive been giving him fruits and vegetables and the food that came with him but i wanna make sure what im going to purachase is going to be healthy for him. I was looking at the ZuPreem premium daily bird food Natural with added vitamins and minerals. Any suggestions would be greatly Appreciated!! thank you!!
Also, is it better to give raw carrots and potato or cooked?

Give Monty whatever carrots he prefers, but always cook the potatos, and make sure there is no stem on it.

Not sure if this is the varity I use, but it is the brand.

Any pelleted diet he likes is always better than seeds. Also fruits and vegetables, pasta (no cream sauces, but many birds like tomato sauce), rice, whole grain breads, cooked egg and chicken/turkey are all fine. No onions or avacado or the pits from fruit, including apple seeds.

Thank you guys so much for the replies! i printed off a list of safe foods for him to eat, and of course a list of the no no's!!! I cant beleive how much i love him already!!

Congratulations on your new baby! It sounds like you'll be a great parrot owner.

Feed a variety of fruits, veggies, and whatever you are having for dinner (if it is birds safe, of course).

I also free feed Harrison's Organic Pellets, although there are some other organic pellets (Totally Organic Pellets might be the name) that I am thinking of trying next time.

I have different birds eating different pellets, but I'm happy with whatever they will eat, lol!

My conure eats Zupreem. She was on Harrison's more than a decade ago, but my other conure would only try the Zupreem Fruitblend, so that is what they got. Now that she's been eating it so long, she doesn't want to switch.

I got my amazon to try Harrison's so he will be staying on that. My Grey also eats the same Harrison's so at least I'm not dealing with 3 foods!

I should add that if you're feeding pellets, the supplements should consist mainly of veggies and some fruit. Things like meat, beans, or eggs should be occaisonal foods.
